Cherry Red Marching Ferns Glass Panel

Fused glass panel in a Cherry Red colour based on a detail of a large Fern frond.

Each piece is made by hand using actual leaves. Assembling all materials between two sheets of clear glass with glass powder, these are then put into the kiln at temperatures above 800 degrees centigrade to produce the fused piece.

The glass panel is mounted in a Cherry wood stand finished with a light coating of hard wearing Chestnut finishing oil.
